Vans RV-3    ZK-WHO

Built by apprentices at the Canterbury Aero Club in the 1980’s ZK-WHO has had a chequered career including a couple of incidents along the way. With Vans mandated wing modifications outstanding, the current owner originally brought this RV-3 to JEM aviation for incorporation of these mods and installation of a replacement engine. Working along side the team at JEM aviation duringhis time off, the owner soon realised that he had a lot more in store for ZK-WHO than either he or JEM team realised.

Originally envisioned as a 2-month project, ZK-WHO was finally test flown 6 months later just prior to Christmas 2010 sporting a stunning new paint scheme, a ‘new’ engine, new undercarriage, EFIS installation and many owner requested tweaks and modifications.

An interesting project for both owner and maintainer!
